Destiny 2 Devs Have Been Working on New Titles for Three Years

Information technology'due south been a few weeks since Bungie launched Beyond Low-cal  as the new expansion of Destiny 2  earlier this month and the game has already received a long-lasting roadmap of upcoming content in the adjacent few years. Yet, information technology seems Destiny 2  is not the only game that Bungie has been working on over the last years.

In a recent interview with Metro , Pete Parsons, CEO of Bungie, revealed that they had established some incubation teams since 2022 to bring on new ideas for the studio's current games and suggest concepts for some new titles also. Parsons said:

So we started well-nigh three years ago, Jason [Jones] and Jonny Ebbert and Zach Russell and a few of us started working on new incubations. The way to think virtually that is not merely on new games. I think that is oftentimes the parlance people use. Actually a process around how we want to incubate the potential for new titles, but more importantly, new and astonishing talent.

It seems Bungie wasn't and so optimistic about the incubation teams at starting time, but their great work over the final few years has pretty impressed the studio heads to follow the piece of work of their small teams. Parsons continued:

Ironically, nosotros expected a decently high failure rate from the incubations and what's happened is, we are pretty excited well-nigh the piece of work that'due south being done not only on continuing the Destiny universe, only because nosotros've been able to build such a deep bench of talent, these incubations are actually astonishing.
